“Three’s A Crowd” is written by Marilyn Recht, directed by Emma Lee Roddy, stage managed by Freddy Valle; and starring Alexandria Collins, Dominique Siqueira-Koo, and Emily Anne Parrish.

The audience witnesses the interaction of three young women in a 1969 setting at a New England college.  The timeline of this play places the audience into a different America since Rowe vs. Wade did not become a landmark decision until 1973.  These three young women deal with societal pressures and other issues that affect their lives.

In my opinion, the writer gets her message across to the audience in many ways, for she really brings out the America of the 1960s.  The audience sees racism in a subtle manner from Jenny’s character towards Sally, the African American; yet Jenny’s main goal was to land a rich husband without avail.  The character of Valarie demonstrates a healthy mentality towards other people.  The audience sees a little bias in Sally’s character when she interacts with Jenny about who should wear a white wedding dress on her wedding day.  This play has a lot of potential, and it needs to be showcase on a regular basis.
