MIAMI, FL — Following a critically acclaimed, sold-out run at the American Theatre of Actors in New York City, Creative Atlas is proud to announce that the bilingual production of Love Letters directed by Gera Sandler will begin its regional tour in Miami this March 2026.

Starring the celebrated, Maria Atlas and Lev Grzhonko, Love Letters is a transformative theatrical experience performed in Russian with English supertitles. By weaving two languages into a single narrative, Maria and Lev challenge traditional linguistic boundaries, proving that the “universal language” of the stage transcends borders. Atlas, who won great praise for her acting ability, is a phenominal singer as well — with albums on all major platforms. 

Love Letters is a play by A. R. Gurney that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play centers on the life long turbulent epistolary romance between two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III.

There is a particular kind of magic that happens when a play built on simplicity is carried by two actors who know how to fill that simplicity with truth. This production is a perfect example of that magic—intimate, emotionally resonant, and deeply human.

From the first moments, Grzhonko and Atlas fully transform into their characters, guiding the audience through decades of shared history with clarity, tenderness, and authenticity. Their chemistry is undeniable. Lev brings nuance and depth to every shift in emotion, while Maria creates a rich, luminous emotional landscape—vulnerable, witty, and compelling. Together, they breathe life into the letters in a way that made the relationship feel lived-in and true.
