TWO THOUSAND MILES

a musical about the struggles of a group of young people with physical afflictions, conceived and written by Alyssa M. Williams

and additional material by Jaclyn Nash and Taylor Guttadauro

with arrangments & orchestrations by James Stryska

is currently preparing for an off-Broadway run.

Triumphant showings at the John & Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center in Orlando Florida as well as a rousing presentation featuring members of the Broadway community at Open Jar Studios in New York have propelled Ms. Williams and her team to begin pre-production for a contract Off-Broadway run.

“The response to the material was overwhelming” says emerging musical writer, Alyssa M. Williams, “fundraising efforts have been equaly tremendous so we decided to begin the process,” she concluded.

“Two Thousand Miles” is a compelling musical that unfolds across California and New York City, tracing the interwoven stories of a group of friends. We follow Davis, a former business student turned playwright courageously battling Lupus, and his devoted boyfriend, Nate, an accomplished composer, learning the intricacies of caregiving. Together, they strive to bring their new musical to life. As their friends confront their own challenges, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, and health complications due to a difficult pregnancy, “Two Thousand Miles” illustrates the profound power of love, acceptance, and the unbreakable bonds of friendship.

Alyssa M. Williams, wrote the musical about her own struggles living with Rheumatoid Arthritis for the last 16 years.

The production welcomes back Anthony Bologna who has been with Two Thousand Miles in numerous capacities for over a year and James Stryska, who joins with this upcoming run.

Fundraising efforts and additional hirings are currently in effect.
